Die Tunica gehören heute zu der Tunica-Biloxi Nation und sind als autonome Nation anerkannt. Ihr Wappen symbolisiert mit dem Adler die Tunica und mit den drei Federn die Biloxi, Avoyel und Ofo. Die Nation verfügt auf ihrem Territorium über ein eigenes Zentrum, das sich die Aufarbeitung zahlreicher Fundstücke und den Erhalt der Sprache zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, und mit einem Museum über ihre Kultur informiert. Die Nation gibt Bücher heraus, die in der Sprache der Tunica für Kinder Geschichten aus der Vergangenheit erzählen. Die Kinder werden so frühzeitig mit ihrer Sprache und ihrer Tradition vertraut gemacht. 

The Tunica are today part of the Tunica-Biloxi nation and are acknowledged as sovereign nation. Their heraldic symbol shows the eagle for the Tunica and three feathers for the Biloxi, the Avoyel, and the Ofo.  On its territory the nation run a centre for the restoration of old artifacts, the support of the traditional language, and a museum for the information of visitors from outsite. For children are books edited in the Tunica language with stories of former generations. Of this way the youth comes in contact with their language and their tradition.
